To drive innovation in animation rendering, the contract Keynote Shader & Effects Engineer will design, implement, and optimize shaders and visual effects for a custom animation engine while working remotely on PST hours. Key responsibilities: Designing, prototyping, and shipping new shader-driven visual effects for the Keynote animation engine Collaborating with designers to translate creative direction into performant realtime effects Writing and maintaining production-quality Metal shaders optimized for silicon GPUs using state-of-the-art graphics techniques Required qualifications: Proven ability to write highly performant realtime graphics shader code for 60/120fps at 4K across various silicon Strong grasp of the realtime rendering pipeline, including rasterization, compute, and GPU/CPU synchronization Deep, hands-on experience with Metal; exceptional GLSL/Vulkan candidates with low-level GPU optimization experience will be considered Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience/skills Track record of owning a subsystem or feature area end to end
