Sewing Machine OperatorThe Sewing Machine Operator will operate various sewing machines to join parts of fabricated articles or garments. This full-time hourly position is responsible for sewing garments for production and monitoring the quality of the final item. Need to be willing to work overtime as needed.
Sewing test is required to be considered.Radians is willing to train anyone with a sincere interest in learning to sew safety apparel.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret work instructionsVerify fabrics, threads, and partsOperate industrial sewing equipment to assemble productMonitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctionsRecord quantities producedInspect product for defects and mark errors as necessaryBe willing to cross-train in various manufacturing areasHave a good attendance record.Other duties as assigned.Education and/or Experience & Other Skills And AbilitiesHigh School Diploma or GED EquivalentPrefer 1+ years experience in related fieldMaintain consistent production qualityIndustrial sewing machine experience is a plusPhysical DemandsThe employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; the employee is frequently required to walk; the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
