The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating and setting up manual or CNC lathes to fabricate parts according to technical drawings and specifications, setting up and operating lathe machines.
Key responsibilities involve reading blueprints, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring precision in all finished products, selecting and installing cutting tools and fixtures, monitoring machine operations, and using precision measurement tools to ensure quality control. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity for a motivated individual looking for a stable position.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate Lathe machinery to produce parts according to specifications.Set up and align fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials on both manual and CNC lathes based on blueprint specifications.Plan and determine the most efficient order of machine operation for each job, optimizing production time and material usage.Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each stage of the machining process.Accurately set cutting speeds, feed rates, and tolerance levels.Inspect and verify that all completed work meets established quality standards and precise dimensions.Possess a strong working knowledge of, and the ability to accurately read and interpret, complex blueprints and engineering drawings.Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization within the work area and perform routine maintenance on equipment.Experience with Esprit CAM programming is a significant advantage.Required Qualifications2 or more years of professional experience as a Lathe Machinist is preferred.Proven ability to set up and operate manual or CNC Lathe machines.Strong capability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Must be able to perform the physical duties associated with a manufacturing environment.Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen is required.Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $28.00 - $30.00 Per Hour
