Job: ServiceNow Release Train Engineer (RTE)/SAFe Release Train Engineer - ServiceNow Platform/ServiceNow Agile Release Manager/Enterprise Service Management (ESM) Release Manager

Location: Jersey City, NJ- Onsite


Looking for candidates with SAFe RTE + ServiceNow platform delivery experience , strong release governance expertise, and experience managing large-scale Agile delivery programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead release planning, sprint alignment, backlog readiness, capacity planning, and integrated release calendars across ServiceNow teams.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies, Scrum of Scrums, bottlenecks, WIP, cycle time, throughput, and delivery flow.
  • Drive release governance, release readiness reviews, release gates, production readiness, rollback planning, deployments, upgrades, clones, code migrations, and hotfix processes.
  • Coordinate testing activities, SIT/UAT sign-offs, defect triage, and adoption of ServiceNow ATF and test management practices.
  • Own governance reporting, RAID logs, release metrics, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coach Scrum Masters and Agile teams and support operational maturity and transition activities.


Required Skills

  • 8+ years in software delivery, release management, or program management.
  • 3+ years as an RTE, Release Lead, or equivalent role in multi-team Agile environments.
  • Strong Agile/SAFe experience (SAFe RTE preferred; CSM/PSM a plus).
  • ServiceNow delivery expertise including Update Sets, ATF, ITSM Change & Release Management, upgrades, and environment promotion.
  • Experience with release governance, dependency management, and regulated enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow SPM.
  • Strong reporting, metrics, and executive stakeholder communication skills.


Preferred Skills

  • ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS-ITSM, CAD).
  • ServiceNow SPM or Agile Development experience.
  • Healthcare/Life Sciences domain experience.
  • Experience with release automation and AI-assisted release readiness.
