Service Reliability Engineer
Immediate need for a talented Service Reliability Engineer with experience in the IT Industry. This is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Reston, VA. Please review the job description below.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline, or in place of 4-year degree, an equivalent industry internship or industry software engineering experience
- Deep understanding of Linux and network stack
- Full-stack troubleshooting skills across network, application, hardware, management fabric, and distributed services layers
- Familiarity with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Python, Java, GoLang
- Good understanding of performance metrics collection and trend-based monitoring for large infrastructure (Prometheus etc. is a plus)
- Performance engineering (Measuring latency, performance and efficiency of distributed and non-distributed environments)
- Experience in operating large-scale distributed platforms
- Experience on public and/or private cloud resource provisioning and management through automation (Eg: ansible/terraform/puppet etc.)
