Gem City Tire is an Ohio-based independent Goodyear Commercial Tire Dealer with locations in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky. We are currently seeking an experienced Service Manager for our Indianapolis, Indiana location in the Tire/Transportation Industry.
Position Title: Service Manager
Position Summary
- Full-time position
- Monthly performance bonus
- Experience in the Transportation Industry is a plus
Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of all Service Department employees
- Customer service is a priority
- 100% interface with customers
- Dispatch all fleet work and road calls accordingly
- Communicate specific work assignments and responsibilities to associates
- Process repair order paperwork from beginning to invoicing
- Field incoming customer road calls and obtain all necessary information
- Contact customers for approvals and PO numbers as required
- Review and analyze performance results and take corrective action when applicable
- Organize, train, and develop all Service Department employees
- Enforce all company policies, including accident and workers' compensation paperwork
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment inside and outside of the building
- Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by xhqgsiq the supervisor
- Transportation Industry experience is a plus
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent people relations skills
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience
- Prior commercial tire experience is a plus
