Join a dynamic team as a Service Engineer specializing in Dell PowerEdge and enterprise server hardware. Based in Warren, OH, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting critical data center and customer environments. (Responsibilities)
- Deliver on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise servers to ensure minimal customer downtime
- Diagnose, repair, and replace hardware components including memory, CPUs, drives, power supplies, RAID, NICs, GPUs, and motherboards
- Perform rack-and-stack, cabling, server installation, hardware swaps, and configuration
- Troubleshoot server hardware, firmware, BIOS, and work with Linux or similar operating systems
- Execute firmware and BIOS updates and utilize iDRAC or similar management platforms
- Accurately document service activities, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions
- Communicate clearly with customers and technical teams, providing status updates and solutions
- Escalate complex technical issues promptly and appropriately
- Participate in on-call rotations and travel as needed to customer sites
(Required Skills and Experience)
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with enterprise servers or data center hardware
- Proven expertise installing, diagnosing, repairing, and replacing server components
- Proficient with rack-mounted servers, hardware diagnostics, and server management tools
- Familiar with Linux environments and structured troubleshooting methodologies
- Strong communication skills for customer interaction and technical collaboration
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible/on-call schedules
(Preferred Skills)
- Experience with Dell PowerEdge servers
- Dell or equivalent enterprise hardware certifications
- Familiarity with iDRAC, iLO, or comparable platforms
- Background in GPU/AI server infrastructure and data center operations
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
