Job Purpose

The Server delivers polished, anticipatory white-glove table service that reflects Executive Branch's standard of discretion, professionalism, and excellence for every member and guest interaction.

Principal (Essential) Duties

●      Greet, seat-side introduce, and serve members and guests with warmth, discretion, and polish.

●      Maintain deep knowledge of the current menu, specials, and dietary accommodations to guide member choices confidently.

●      Accurately enter and manage orders through the POS system, coordinating timing with the kitchen and expo.

●      Anticipate member needs — refills, pacing, special requests — without being asked.

●      Maintain table and section cleanliness and readiness throughout service.

●      Handle member conversations and information with complete discretion and confidentiality.

●      Coordinate with Back Servers, Bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless course timing.

Secondary Duties

●      Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

●      Strong understanding of fine dining service standards, etiquette, and luxury hospitality expectations.

●      Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.

●      Professional, polished communication skills and a service-first mindset.

●      Ability to multitask and work well under pressure during high-volume service.

●      Sound menu, wine, and beverage knowledge.

Experience / Education Requirements

●      High school diploma or equivalent required.

●      3+ years of Server experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or private club service preferred.

●      Food handler and alcohol service certifications current per D.C. requirements.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

●      While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:

●      Operate with indomitable work ethic and the willingness to work additional hours and atypical shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

●      Stand and walk for extended periods (up to a full shift) on a dining or bar floor.

●      Lift and carry up to 35 lbs (trays, cases, supplies) and perform repetitive bending, reaching, and carrying.

●      See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, bend, stretch, twist, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.
