Wainwright’s Tavern is seeking an experienced, polished, and hospitality-driven  Server  to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, wine, and genuine guest service and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.

Our servers are responsible for creating a warm, knowledgeable, and memorable dining experience while maintaining the standards of an elevated American bistro.

• Provide attentive, professional, and personalized service to every guest.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the menu, ingredients, daily specials, wine, cocktails, and beverage offerings.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Guide guests through menu selections, including recommendations and appropriate pairings.
• Maintain awareness of timing and pacing throughout each table’s experience.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar, runners, bussers, hosts, and management.
• Ensure food and beverages are delivered accurately and promptly.
• Monitor tables throughout the meal and anticipate guest needs without being intrusive.
• Properly handle guest checks, payments, and POS transactions.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked service stations.
• Follow all restaurant standards for sanitation, food safety, and responsible alcohol service.
• Assist with opening and closing side work as assigned.
• Support fellow team members and contribute to a positive, professional work environment.
• Address guest concerns with professionalism and involve management when appropriate.
• Maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor at all times.

• Minimum  2 years of serving experience  in a full-service, upscale, or high-volume restaurant preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and classic hospitality service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately manage multiple tables.
• Comfortable working as part of a team.
• Professional, punctual, reliable, and guest-focused.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of the position.
• TIPS/ServSafe or other applicable certifications are a plus.
