Server — Community Food and Juice

Community Food and Juice is looking for a friendly, experienced server to join our team. We’re a neighborhood restaurant with strong ties to our local community, welcoming longtime regulars, neighborhood families, and Columbia University students, faculty, and staff. We take pride in being a place where guests feel at home, whether they’re stopping in for coffee or sitting down for a meal with friends.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys building relationships with guests, takes pride in thoughtful service, and works well with a busy team. A warm personality, attention to detail, and a willingness to jump in and help are essential.

What you’ll do:

• Provide welcoming, attentive service from greeting to goodbye

• Learn our food and beverage menus and make informed recommendations

• Communicate dietary restrictions and allergy requests clearly with the kitchen

• Stay organized and keep service running smoothly during busy shifts

• Support your teammates and help maintain a clean, inviting dining room

What we’re looking for:

• Previous restaurant serving experience

• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in hospitality

• Ability to multitask while remaining composed and attentive to guests

• Dependability, a positive attitude, and a collaborative approach

• Coffee and espresso experience a plus

• Some bartending experience a plus

• Experience with gluten-free dining and accommodating dietary restrictions a plus

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays
