Server

Position Summary 

    A Server acts as the primary point of contact for guests in the dining room while collaborating closely with the dining room team and kitchen to ensure guest needs are met and expectations are exceeded.   

    Demonstrate a strong understanding of the restaurant’s style of service, food offerings, and beverage program to provide thoughtful, seamless, and hospitality-driven service throughout the guest experience.  

 Reports To:  General Manager  

 Core Responsibilities 

• Provide warm, gracious, and attentive service to guests throughout the dining experience 
• Answer guest questions confidently and provide thoughtful recommendations regarding food and beverage selections
• Coordinate closely with sommeliers, assistant servers, and other dining room team members to maintain the assigned station and anticipate guest needs 
• Follow all proper protocols and service standards regarding VIP guests and special accommodations
• Review checks for accuracy before presenting them to guests and properly process cash and credit card payments 
• Maintain a strong understanding of the menu, beverage program, and service standards to provide polished and knowledgeable hospitality 
• Support a collaborative, team-oriented service environment while maintaining professionalism and composure during high-volume service periods
• Accurately enter orders while properly communicating allergies, dietary restrictions, and special requests to the kitchen 

Service & Guest Experience 

• Ensure all guest-facing areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health regulations
• Approach guest interactions with warmth, confidence, and approachability
• Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all food, wine, cocktail, beer, and spirits menus
• Educate guests and staff in a clear, engaging, and non-intimidating manner 
• Maintain strong awareness of service pacing and coordinate beverage timing with the floor team
• Create a welcoming, comfortable, and memorable dining experience 
• Demonstrate teamwork and support fellow staff during service 
• Uphold all service standards, reservation notes, and allergy protocols 

Qualifications: 

• Experience in fine dining, upscale hospitality, or beverage-focused restaurant environments preferred
• Ability to multitask and maintain composure during busy service periods 
• Passion for hospitality, food, cocktails, and continued learning
• Strong experience in beverage preparation and batching
• Strong knowledge of industry trends 
• Informed on current industry trends, cocktail techniques, spirits, and developments within the hospitality and beverage community
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8+ hours), and to crouch, bend, and lift or move    25+ lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays 

Salary:  $11.35 per hour with tip credit
