Server EngineerThe Server Engineer will be part of a talented team that demonstrates superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security. You will be responsible for assisting in the build out, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our rapidly changing infrastructure while leveraging PowerShell scripting to facilitate automation of business process. You will have the opportunity to leverage your skills to drive continuous improvement and automation throughout our environment. Qualified systems engineers will have a background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis.
Responsibilities:Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management toolsWrite and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency, lower the human intervention time on any tasks and automate repetitive tasksCustom PowerShell programming and automation for Oracle Cloud Integration to ADADFS server management and configuration and support of Single Sign-OnMaintain and ensure availability of our Windows file server environmentOffice 365 automation, administration, configuration, and support including Archiving and Discovery functionsWork with Legal on eDiscovery requestsWork with security to architect end user and infrastructure security enhancementsProactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availabilityMonitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixesMaintain security, backup, and redundancy strategiesLiaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutionTravel to company locations within current and future markets as neededRecommend and evaluate new technologies and opportunities for improvementOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology or other relevant degree program preferred5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Server Administration, PowerShell Scripting, or other relevant areasProven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting virtualization / containerized, Windows and/or UNIX/Linux based environments.Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWSExperience with monitoring systemsExperience with or knowledge of automation software
