We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Sommelier with Sake Knowledge to join our team. As a Sommelier, you will be responsible for curating an exceptional sake selection, providing expert recommendations to guests, and ensuring an outstanding dining experience. Responsibilities:
- Assist guests in selecting sake & wines that pair well with their meals
- Provide detailed information about different sake & wine regions and vintages
- Offer recommendations based on guests' preferences and budget
- Ensure proper storage and handling of sake & wines to maintain quality and freshness
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop sake & wine pairing suggestions for new menu items
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new sake & wine releases
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner
Requirements:
- Must be Strong Team player
- Proven experience as a Sommelier or similar role in a Casual fine dining establishment
- In-depth knowledge of sake & wines from different regions around the world
- Strong understanding of food and sake & wine pairing principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and create memorable experiences for guests
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
