Server

Ikigai is a 10-course Japanese Kaiseki restaurant located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.

The shifts are Tuesday–Saturday nights, averaging 38 hours per week.
We are looking for a server with bartending experience and a start date of September 29th.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the dining room experience with tasks such as taking drink orders, clearing and resetting tables, and assisting guests throughout service.

• Working closely with the kitchen team to provide fluid service that complements the tasting menu.

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and teamwork across the dining room.

• Participating fully in our team-based service model, including setup, breakdown, and collaborative guest care.

Requirements:

• Ability to explain beverage offerings in a clear, engaging, and approachable way.
• Ability to make simple pre-batched cocktail recipes.

• Prior experience in fine dining or beverage-focused service strongly preferred.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Attention to detail, organizational ability, and a genuine commitment to hospitality.

• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
