Gage & Tollner Server Assistant
Part-Time, Non-Exempt | $11.35/hour + tips
Gage & Tollner is looking for Server Assistants to join our brunch team.
Server Assistants are a huge part of what makes a busy dining room feel smooth and effortless. We’re looking for people who move with purpose, notice the details, and are happy to jump in before someone has to ask.
If you like being busy, enjoy working as part of a team, and want to build your restaurant skills in a professional but down-to-earth environment, this could be a great fit.
The schedule
- Approximately 2–3 shifts per week to start
- Must be available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
- Primarily brunch shifts to start
- Opportunity to move into dinner shifts in the future
- Part-time, 29 hours or fewer per week
What we’re looking for
- 6 months–1 year of restaurant experience
- Strong sense of urgency and awareness
- Friendly, professional communication
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to stay organized while juggling multiple priorities
- Reliability, punctuality, and a team-first attitude
- An interest in learning and growing within restaurant service
What you’ll do
- Work closely with Servers to keep tables and sections running smoothly
- Clear, reset, and maintain tables throughout service
- Run food, beverages, and other items accurately and efficiently
- Maintain water service and anticipate basic guest needs
- Keep service stations stocked, clean, and organized
- Complete assigned opening, closing, and sidework
- Communicate constantly with Servers, managers, and the rest of the service team
- Help maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall readiness of the dining room
Physical requirements
With or without reasonable accommodation, this position requires prolonged standing and walking, frequent use of stairs, working at a fast pace, and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
