Junior Attorney PositionThis is an In Office position - FTHandle personal injury case files from start to finishEvaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clientsDraft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documentsResearch case law and premises liability, and gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case (preferred experience with Westlaw)Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather informationNegotiate suitable agreements offers and appropriately settle on the clients' behalfMake court appearances at hearings and trials, attend mediations, depositions, and litigation throughout the entire state of CaliforniaDocument and update the status of all case files in case management system (Preferred experience with CasePeer)Manage a team of personal injury paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretaryTrack work calendar, including but not limited to, appointment and court deadlines pursuant to the California Code of Civil ProcedureCalculate costs and compensation totals in support of drafting settlement breakdowns to present to client and insurance providers
