Position Summary
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer / Senior Principal Systems Engineer. The role will be located in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL in the Sentinel Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT) Segment as part of the Software & System Integration (SSI) Weapon System Integration (WSI) team.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate leadership principles – integrity, respect, organization, communication, etc.
- Proficient in the development of key systems engineering artifacts such as requirement specifications and interface definition documents.
- Ensure appropriate coordination between SEIT and other integration teams.
- Participate in technical planning, verification and validation development, cost and risk considerations, and requirements analyses for integrated systems.
Basic Qualifications
- Principal Systems Engineer (Level 3): 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM discipline; 3 years with Masters; 1 year with PhD.
- Senior Principal Systems Engineer (Level 4): 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM discipline; 6 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance and investigation date within the last 6 years.
- Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances.
- Minimum 2 years working experience on ICBMs.
- Minimum 2 years Systems Engineering experience.
- Minimum 2 years of DOORS or related experience.
- Direct development experience of interface products (IRS, IDD, ICD) and requirement specifications.
- Experience creating and executing to schedule & technical recovery plans.
- Experience working across program organizations to find solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Past or active employment with MMIII or Sentinel Weapon Systems.
- Experience contributing toward various phases of a program lifecycle.
- Experience contributing toward various phases of the Systems Engineering "V" lifecycle.
- Experience with developing architectural diagrams.
- Earned Value Management experience.
- Risk Management experience.

Salary Range
Primary Level: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00.
Secondary Level: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00.
Work Schedule
9/80 schedule (nine-hour days Monday through Thursday, every other Friday off).
