This position is located in Manhattan Beach, CA and supports the Sentinel Program.This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.This position is a dual-hat position requiring the candidate to perform functional management activities as well as program responsibilities. It is expected that the Functional Homeroom responsibilities will comprise up to 20% of the candidate's time while 80% of your efforts will be focused on technical program support under the Sentinel – Command Systems (CS) Hardware Design Integration team.As an FHR manager, you will report directly to an SDS Electrical Department Manager. You will provide career mentorship and operational support to a Functional Home Room (FHR) team (Section) of between 10 and 15 Individual Contributors (ICs) based on Engineering goals, objectives, and company policy.

Key FHR responsibilities include recruiting, staffing, retaining talent, performance management, process familiarization and training for Section members.For your technical scope, you will be responsible for CS hardware analysis. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.You'll Bring These QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 8 years of experience; or Master's degree with 6 years of experience.Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needExperience in technical leadership/management role.Experience in writing and presenting technical contentExcellent communication and organizational skillsBasic understanding of and experience with engineering analysis principlesThese Qualifications Would be Nice to HaveFamiliarity with Abaqus, Ansys, FEMAP, MATHCAD, Capital or equivalentsAt least 1 year leading a project and/or driving performance against scheduleExperience with one or more of the following languages: VBA, Python, MATLABStrong experience leading teams and training others.Experience with individual contributor performance assessmentsExcellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skillsOperates independently with limited to no supervision, and the ability to establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, peers, and customersExperience developing and implementing analytic methods to support test, validation, and qualificationTeamCenter CPLM experienceExperience in performing in an Agile environment and knowledge/understanding of JIRA.Primary Level Salary Range: $146,600.00 - $219,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
