Senior Workforce Strategy & HR Analytics Consultant

Ashley Hughes-Jefferson Consulting LLC is recruiting an experienced Senior Workforce Strategy & HR Analytics Consultant for a hybrid direct-hire opportunity in Washington, DC.

This senior-level consulting position combines workforce strategy, advanced HR analytics, labor economics, statistical modeling, and responsible artificial intelligence to help organizations make data-driven workforce decisions.

The ideal candidate brings significant external consulting experience and can translate sophisticated analytics into practical recommendations for HR and business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead workforce strategy and analytics consulting engagements
Translate complex business challenges into analytics-driven workforce solutions
Conduct strategic workforce planning and labor market analyses
Perform pay equity and workforce impact analyses
Develop workforce forecasting and predictive models
Build skills taxonomies, retention-risk models, and internal mobility recommendations
Analyze structured and unstructured workforce data
Apply statistical, machine learning, and AI-assisted analytical methods
Use labor-market data to identify workforce trends and opportunities
Present findings and recommendations to senior client stakeholders
Develop implementation roadmaps based on analytical findings
Create dashboards, visualizations, executive presentations, and data stories
Quantify the potential business impact and ROI of workforce interventions
Support responsible AI practices including model validation, bias detection, explainability, privacy, and documentation
Develop reusable workforce analytics frameworks, methodologies, and thought leadership

Required Qualifications

8+ years of relevant consulting experience in workforce strategy, HR analytics, labor economics, organizational psychology, or a closely related discipline
Advanced degree such as a Master's or PhD in Economics, I-O Psychology, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Labor Relations, or another quantitative field
Experience with strategic workforce planning, pay equity analysis, labor-market analysis, or comparable workforce consulting engagements
Strong statistical and quantitative analysis capabilities
Experience with regression, causal inference, time-series analysis, clustering, and predictive modeling
Proficiency with Python, R, SQL, or comparable analytical technologies
Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau
Experience working with large and varied datasets
Ability to translate complex analytical findings into actionable business recommendations
Strong client-facing communication, storytelling, and project leadership skills

AI & Advanced Analytics Experience

Candidates should be comfortable applying modern AI and machine learning approaches to workforce challenges, including appropriate use of large language models and unstructured data.

Experience with responsible AI practices including model validation, bias detection and mitigation, explainability, privacy considerations, and AI governance is particularly relevant.
