A law firm seeks a Senior Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney in Brea, CA. The ideal candidate will have the autonomy and support to deliver outstanding results for clients while building a long-term career with a growing defense firm.
Duties
- Manage workers' compensation defense caseload from inception through resolution.
- Take and defend depositions, appear at MSCs, lien conferences, hearings, and trials.
- Provide strategic advice and litigation guidance to employers, insurance carriers, and TPAs.
- Negotiate favorable settlements and litigate cases when necessary.
- Collaborate with experienced attorneys and support staff in a team-oriented environment.
- Build strong client relationships through responsive communication and practical legal solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of California workers' compensation defense experience.
- Active California Bar license and good standing.
- Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation law and WCAB procedures.
- Excellent deposition, negotiation, and litigation skills.
- Ability to independently manage a caseload while working collaboratively with colleagues.
- Strong written advocacy and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and case-management abilities.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications
California State Bar License.
