Senior Workers Compensation Defense Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney in Brea, CA. The ideal candidate will have the autonomy and support to deliver outstanding results for clients while building a long-term career with a growing defense firm.

Duties

• Manage workers' compensation defense caseload from inception through resolution.


• Take and defend depositions, appear at MSCs, lien conferences, hearings, and trials.


• Provide strategic advice and litigation guidance to employers, insurance carriers, and TPAs.


• Negotiate favorable settlements and litigate cases when necessary.


• Collaborate with experienced attorneys and support staff in a team-oriented environment.


• Build strong client relationships through responsive communication and practical legal solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of California workers' compensation defense experience.


• Active California Bar license and good standing.


• Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation law and WCAB procedures.


• Excellent deposition, negotiation, and litigation skills.


• Ability to independently manage a caseload while working collaboratively with colleagues.


• Strong written advocacy and communication skills.


• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and case-management abilities.

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

California State Bar License.
