Senior Vice President, Health & Safety

Overview:

Are you an experienced health and safety leader passionate about creating a safe and healthy workplace? As the Senior Vice President, Health & Safety, you will oversee occupational health and safety programs, analyze trends and ensure compliance with regulations company-wide. Your role involves providing technical expertise, conducting safety orientations and reviewing safety procedures. Collaborate with industry experts and committed teams to promote a safe working environment.

What you will be doing:

• Oversees safety program and procedures for the company.

• Develops company-wide or mega project specific safety procedures and practices. Implements safety trainings and initiatives that are aligned to Company core Health and Safety program.
• Leads a high-performing team of safety professionals while maintaining a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
• Reviews project trend analysis to ensure accurate tracking of accidents, injuries, fire, property damage and other safety related incidents are recorded.

• Provides technical expertise to high risk or complex safety issues as needed.
• Shapes, strengthens, and embeds a strong safety culture across the organization.
• Operates credibly at the SVP/Executive level and influences senior leaders across the business.
• Reviews project status and trend analysis reports to present during Operations meetings.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health & Safety or a related field preferred
• 20+ years’ experience in construction or safety required.
• 10+ years’ experience managing construction or safety teams required.
• Experience in diverse, complex and high risk construction projects required.
• Experience developing and implementing health and safety initiatives preferred.
• Proven leadership skills with consistent and clear expectations messaged to direct reports and project stakeholders.
• Proven skill and ability to communicate safety program to senior Company leadership. Comfortable and effective speaking and presenting to project Owners, regulatory agencies and internal senior leadership.
• Strong, proven skills identifying and mentoring direct report safety professionals. Assigning tasks and training to build a strong and well balanced internal team.
• Developed ability to provide training and learning opportunities for construction teams based on expert safety knowledge and standard safety principles.
• Expert and proven skill to identify onsite project safety risks and develop innovative and compliant mitigation strategies within safety program and agency requirement standards.
• Expert knowledge of construction site equipment, methods and processes.
• Expert knowledge of regulatory compliance, industry trends and upcoming agency regulations that might impact Company and project production.

Salary Min: USD $270,000.00/Yr. Salary Max: USD $330,000.00/Yr.
