SVP/VP, Financial Planning & Analysis — Confidential Search
Our client is a rapidly growing, multi-site healthcare organization delivering specialized, value-based care in the community setting. With a large and expanding patient population and a growing network of clinical locations, the organization is changing the way care is delivered in its specialty.
We're hiring a VP, FP&A to help shape the company's next phase of growth. This role opened up due to growth and succession planning, with room for promotion within the next 6 months — a strong opportunity for a finance leader looking to build toward a broader mandate quickly.
This is a highly visible leadership role for a finance executive who thrives at the intersection of strategy, operations, analytics, and execution. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll serve as a trusted partner to senior leadership, translating complex financial information into clear insights that drive better decisions and stronger business performance. You'll also build out your own team, overseeing a Director, Manager of FP&A, and Analyst.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with finance leadership to drive the annual budget and quarterly forecast process using Excel-based budget and forecast models
- Manage and mentor a team of analysts, managers, and directors — training on best practices, reviewing work, and driving accountability
- Own monthly variance analysis, comparing actuals to budget and packaging results for leadership review
- Lead monthly financial review meetings with P&L owners across the company
- Partner with P&L owners to evaluate the economics of strategic initiatives, including analysis, reporting, and project management of implementation
- Own and optimize FP&A's data infrastructure and software platforms
- Prepare routine and ad hoc reporting for executives and investors, including board materials
- Support investor relations and M&A activity, including buy- and sell-side diligence and execution
- Continuously improve FP&A processes for efficiency, automation, and scalability
What We're Looking For:
- Multi-unit healthcare experience required; managed care or value-based care experience strongly preferred
- 10+ years of experience in FP&A or related roles
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred
- Experience leading and developing a team
- Excellent communication skills and extensive executive presentation experience, including preparing board materials
- Extensive forecasting and long-range planning experience
- Ability to translate nuanced financial concepts and business drivers for senior stakeholders
- Public company reporting / earnings experience a plus, but not required
- M&A and transactional diligence experience (buy- or sell-side) a plus
