Job Description
We'reseeking a future team member for the role ofSenior Vice President, Digital Assets - Policy, Regulatory & Supervisory to join our Legal & Government Affairs function.This role is located in New York, NY.
In this role,you'llmake an impact in the following ways:
- Lead BNY's end-to-end digital asset engagement, spanningexternal policy and advocacyandinternal regulatory and supervisory execution.
- Develop and maintain a cohesive enterprise position across legislative, regulatory, and supervisory developments, ensuring alignment across business, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Communications.
- Proactively shape policy outcomes through engagement with Congress, regulators, and industry bodies, while coordinating BNY's participation across trade associations and driving consistent external messaging.
- Lead development of policy materials, including comment letters, white papers, and executive-level briefings, translating emerging developments into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Own execution of a rapidly expanding regulatory and supervisory pipeline, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery aligned with regulatory expectations.
- Serve as a primary interface with regulators, managing pre-filing engagement, formal submissions, and ongoing supervisory dialogue, while coordinating complex, multi-phase and cross-enterprise regulatory initiatives.
- Establish and maintain a structured supervisory engagement model and advise business stakeholders on regulatory strategy and approval pathways, while managing competing demands between proactive policy engagement and high-volume regulatory execution.
To be successful in this role,we'reseeking the following:
- J.D.required withstrong experienceadvisingfinancial institutions on regulatory, supervisory, and policy matters.
- Significant experiencespanningboth external policy/advocacy and internal regulatory execution, ideally within digital assets or adjacent financial services domains.
- Strong understanding of U.S. regulatory frameworks applicable to digital assets (e.g., NYDFS, OCC, FRB, SEC, CFTC), with awareness of global developments preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manageboth strategic policy engagement and high-volume operational workflows.
- Proven experience engaging directly with regulators, policymakers, and/or industry groups.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting comment letters, regulatory submissions, and executive-level materials.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, withabilityto coordinate across multiple concurrent and interdependent initiatives.
- Ability tooperateeffectively in a fast-scaling, high-demand environment, withdemonstratedprioritization and judgment under capacity constraints.
- Strategic, proactive mindset combined with strong execution discipline and attention to detail.

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents.
