We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Vectorworks Designer to lead our CAD team and bring creative concepts to life through detailed technical drawings and innovative design solutions.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on designer with advanced Vectorworks expertise, a strong understanding of scenic construction and fabrication, and the ability to manage projects and mentor others.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the CAD team while remaining actively involved in design and drafting.
- Create and oversee accurate 2D/3D drawings, construction plans, and fabrication documentation.
- Collaborate with creative, production, and fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical and build-ready.
- Maintain drawing standards, quality control, and project deadlines.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and improve departmental workflows.
Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Vectorworks and 3D modeling.
- Experience with scenic fabrication, construction methods, and materials.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor team members.
- Experience in live events, trade shows, exhibits, or scenic production preferred.
