Senior VCL Compiler Engineer for Edge Platform

Fastly is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to join the Core Platform team to shape, scale, and maintain the VCL Compiler (VCC) and Varnish Configuration Language (VCL). You will evolve language design, refactor compiler architecture, and ensure backward compatibility while handling a codebase that processes billions of requests per second.

You will own the testing pipeline, write robust documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on architecture and technical direction.
