Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Test & Validation Engineer to serve as the Product Owner for Test , driving the overall testing strategy for complex hardware-integrated systems. This role requires a strategic thought leader who can define vision, lead cross-functional collaboration, and ensure high-quality product delivery in regulated environments.
This is not a tactical execution role; we are looking for someone who can own strategy, roadmap, and quality governance across the testing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the overall test strategy and validation campaign.
* Translate customer requirements into technical testing solutions.
* Contribute to product roadmap decisions through deep technical expertise.
* Drive innovation in validation methodologies for hardware-integrated software systems.
Backlog Ownership & Prioritization
* Act as Product Owner for the Test team.
* Build, manage, and prioritize the product backlog.
* Develop detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
* Coordinate cross-team dependencies during Program Increment (PI) planning and sprint iterations.
Acceptance & Quality Governance
* Define and enforce "Definition of Done."
* Formally review, accept, and approve completed features and user stories.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
* Advocate for built-in quality practices.
* Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across engineering, quality, and regulatory teams.
* Participate in Inspect & Adapt events and continuous improvement initiatives.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
* Present complex technical findings to internal and external stakeholders.
* Communicate project progress, risks, and validation results.
* Represent the testing function in program-level discussions.
Required Qualifications
* 8+ years of software testing experience in hardware-integrated systems
* Strong experience serving in a Product Owner or Test Lead capacity
* Deep understanding of test strategy, validation frameworks, and quality governance
* Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments (PI Planning, Iteration Planning, Backlog Grooming)
* Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills
