Senior Systems AdministratorThe Senior Systems Administrator shall demonstrate experience in systems administration in the following operating systems: UNIX, Linux, or Windows. The specialized experience includes Linux system administration of Redhat and security setup and updates (IAVA's); UNIX system administration of Solaris, UNIX scripting, Thin Client, Sudo, IDM, NTFS, CIFS, DNS, RDP Client, and security setup and updates (IAVA's); Windows system administration of WSUS and third party solutions, GPOs Windows Server and Windows Workstations, Thin Clients (hardware/software), Networking and documentation creation/updates.Essential duties and responsibilities include the ability to install, configure and maintain operating systems; manage the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates and enhancements; conduct testing, troubleshooting, performance optimization and maintenance of hardware and software systems; provide support including end user assistance; perform functions such as manage accounts, network rights, access to systems and equipment; maintain systems configuration and backups; create and maintain documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); create, monitor and maintain backups/restoration of systems and files; conduct research of new and upcoming technologies; provide input for future systems and purchases; demonstrate general knowledge of enterprise frameworks and methodologies; possess the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally; and other duties as assigned.Requirements/qualifications include at least 6 years of system administration experience; must have a DOD Secret security clearance and have or be able to obtain an SSBI; as per Department of Defense (DoD) Directive , this position shall require Information Assurance Technicians (IAT) Level 2 certification; this includes both an Information Assurance (IA) certification and an Operating System (OS) certification. The OS certification requirement will be for Unix/Linux or Windows depending on the position.
The Senior Systems Administrator is required to maintain the DoD IAT Level 2 certification for the life of the contract.Physical requirements include the ability to use fabrication tools; stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Work environment characteristics include exposure to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Additional qualifying factors include the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States and for TTO are required. May require occasional travel.Salary: $52/hourly
