Senior Underwriter - Employee BenefitsCamden, New Jersey, United StatesFoundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding a Senior Underwriter to their Corporate Synergies team in Philadelphia Metro Region.Job Summary:The Senior Underwriter partners closely with the Vice President of Underwriting and Account Management team to support complex health and welfare programs. This role is integral in driving renewal strategy, analyzing claims data, and ensuring accuracy and consistency across underwriting deliverables for both fully insured and self?insured clients.Essential Functions:Analyze carrier renewals and manage ongoing carrier interactionsReview proposals and underwriting materials for accuracy and completenessReview and analyze claims reports; oversee claims reporting for self?insured clientsDevelop self?insured budgets, including premium equivalent rate calculationsPrepare fully insured pre?renewal projections and financial modelsParticipate in pre?renewal and renewal strategy meetings with internal teams and clientsConduct ad hoc claims and utilization analyses as neededCompetencies & Qualifications:Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal partnersIn?depth knowledge of carrier processes, plan designs, funding arrangements, and stop?loss contractsStrong analytical, organizational, and attention?to?detail skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast?paced environmentComfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative teamEducation & Experience:Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum of 5+ years of underwriting experience with a health and welfare carrier or brokerage, supporting employer groups of 100+ livesPay Transparency Range$100,000 - $130,000 USDDisclaimer:While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the job requirements, management reserves the right to modify, add, or remove duties from particular jobs and to assign other duties as necessary.Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO):FRP provides equal employment opportunity to qualified persons regardless of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, veteran status, or any other classifications protected by law.Benefits:FRP offers a comprehensive range of health-related benefit options including medical, vision, and dental.
