You'll be responsible for ensuring real estate loan applications are completed with all required documents submitted correctly and loan files are in accordance with the latest investor guidelines and industry standards. If this sounds like you, apply today!ResponsibilitiesUnderwriter completes a thorough analysis of loan files to determine compliance with company, investor, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA/VA guidelines.Underwrites the entire credit package and collateral for residential mortgage loans and ultimately ensures an "investment" quality loan product.Checks the accuracy of all calculations and data integrity. Completes all required underwriting worksheets and checklistsUnderwriter must be available to processors and loan officers or any other team members for general Underwriter guideline interpretations and questions on specific loan files.Responds to post-closing reviews and audits in a timely fashion.Provide necessary documentation/communication regarding approval or rejection of loans to loan officersResearch applicant's employment and financial history to help determine the accuracy of application and documentsMake sure that after information is collected that it is correct, compliance standards are met, and it is in alignment with company policiesSend requests as needed for any additional information that will help determine loan riskReview all mortgage applications and supporting documents to ensure all necessary information is included for approvalQualifications10+ years of mortgage underwriting experience required.Knowledgeable in automated underwriting systems and Microsoft officeKnowledge of home loans and residential mortgages such as conventional, VA, FHA, and USDA loans, and loan productsMust hold a Bachelor's degree in business, banking or similar fieldExcellent decision-making and communication skills2+ years of mortgage underwriting experience or mortgage lending experience is requiredCompensation $75,000 plus per file bonus of underwritten files About Choice Mortgage GroupChoice Mortgage Group is not your typical lender.
