The Sr Transformation Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing machining processes across multiple facilities supporting aerospace and defense programs. This role ensures consistent production standards, process efficiency, quality compliance, and continuous improvement across all assigned sites.________________________________________Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Development & OptimizationDevelop and improve CNC machining processes (milling, turning, grinding)Create and maintain work instructions, routers, and process documentationDrive cycle time reduction, cost savings, and yield improvement initiativesSupport new product introduction (NPI) and process validationImplementing Automation and Robotics________________________________________Multi-Site SupportProvide engineering support across multiple manufacturing locationsStandardize processes, tooling, and best practices across sitesTravel between facilities as needed to support production and projectsCollaborate with site leadership to resolve technical and operational issues________________________________________Aerospace & Defense ComplianceEnsure compliance with industry standards such as AS9100, customer specifications, and regulatory requirementsSupport audits, including customer and regulatory auditsMaintain documentation for traceability and configuration control________________________________________Continuous ImprovementLead or support Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma initiativesAnalyze production data to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actionsReduce scrap, rework, and downtime________________________________________Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Program Management teamsSupport root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA)Interface with customers and suppliers as neededCapex justification, selection, & Install________________________________________QualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related)3–7+ years of experience in machining/manufacturing environmentsStrong knowledge of CNC machining processes and toolingExperience with GD&T and blueprint readingPreferred:Experience in aerospace and defense manufacturingFamiliarity with AS9100 or similar quality systemsLean / Six Sigma certificationExperience supporting multi-site operations________________________________________Key SkillsProcess improvement and problem-solvingData analysis and decision-makingStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities across locations________________________________________Work EnvironmentCombination of office and shop floor environmentsFrequent interaction with production teamsTravel required between manufacturing sites (estimated X–X%)________________________________________Performance Metrics (KPIs)Cycle time reductionScrap and rework ratesOn-time deliveryProcess standardization across sitesCost savings initiativesBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveReferral programRetirement planTuition reimbursementVision insuranceWork Location: In person
