Sr. Training & Development SpecialistThe Toyoda Gosei Group is a leading global manufacturer of rubber and plastic automotive components, safety systems and LEDs. Globally Headquartered in Japan with a network of 67 group companies in 17 countries and regions, the Group brings its extensive range of products to customers all over the world.Toyoda Gosei North America (headquartered in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Sr. Training & Development Specialist in the Human Resources department.

The Sr. Training & Development Specialist is responsible for providing professional-level training and development solutions across Toyoda Gosei (TG) North America Corporation (TGNA) and TGRTC.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesIn collaboration with the department leadership, develop corporate and location-based training strategies and methods to educate, enhance, and recognize performanceSupport the design and development of training programs and training plansCoordinate, facilitate, and may lead employee and leadership development programs at TGNA and TGRTCBasic administration, such as keeping team member registers and attendance records during trainingCreate, maintain, and update training procedure manuals, guides, and course materialsAssess training needs through consultation with managers and surveys and identify training needsProduce training materials for in-house courses as appropriate. Also, promote the use of Corporate Training programs and materials. Amend and revise materials as necessary, in order to adapt to changes that occurDevelop methods for and evaluate training program effectiveness and impactsSupport HR leadership in coordination and scheduling of the TGNA Executive development training programsFunction in a highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork are crucial to organizational success Lead and support HR related projects as requestedMentor, audit and provide written and/or oral feedback to instructors and on-site participants and expertsWork with TGU to build or input information in the LMS: courses, offerings, rosters, etc.Attend and contribute to training sessions (future internal, external sessions)Maintain awareness and understand the roles and responsibilities regarding the environmental policies, management system, and objectives and targets by attending the required training.Evaluate modes of training delivery, such as in-person or virtual, to optimize training effectiveness, training costs, or environmental impacts.

Make recommendations to improve resultsRun reports or create dashboards to show the resultsDrive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts (kaizen)Other Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis role requires the completion of other duties as assignedRequired Education, Experience, and SkillsCertifications and EducationBachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent years of experience is requiredExperience4-8 Years of experience in Human Resources function are requiredPrevious experience in training, organizational development preferredPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
