Senior Testing Consultant (UAT/QA)Location: RemoteJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Testing Consultant to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test strategy, quality assurance, and testing process improvement. The ideal candidate will support enterprise application implementations by collaborating with business users, product owners, developers, and project teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards in Agile and traditional delivery environments.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze business requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.Maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test suites.Execute manual User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate functional and non-functional requirements.Perform regression, integration, exploratory, performance, accessibility, and security testing.Prepare and manage test data required for UAT.Validate testing readiness, including environments, tools, requirements, and data.Log, track, and validate defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.Participate in defect triage meetings and determine defect severity and business impact.Support and mentor business SMEs during UAT execution.Develop testing documentation, templates, training materials, and best practices.Provide daily and weekly testing metrics, status reports, and quality updates.Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.Contribute to release planning, release readiness, and Go/No-Go decisions.Identify opportunities for test automation and collaborate with automation engineers.Define testing scope, quality gates, entry/exit criteria, and release strategies.Monitor testing progress, defect trends, and quality risks.Assess test coverage across business processes, integrations, workflows, and edge cases.Coordinate test data refreshes and environment readiness.Provide QA/UAT effort estimates for sprint and release planning.Escalate quality risks, blockers, and unresolved issues with recommended mitigation plans.Required Skills & ExperienceStrong experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Software Testing.Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Experience designing and executing complex test scenarios.Strong knowledge of:Test StrategyTest PlanningTest Case DesignRequirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)Defect ManagementRelease ReadinessExperience using:JiraAzure DevOpsOther Test Management ToolsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience working with business stakeholders and technical teams.Understanding of:Accessibility (WCAG)Security TestingPerformance TestingExperience in risk-based testing and release quality management.Ability to prioritize work and operate independently.Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.Experience leading QA/UAT efforts for enterprise applications.Preferred QualificationsExperience in Government or highly regulated environments.Familiarity with:SeleniumPlaywrightRobot FrameworkOther automation toolsExperience managing complex test data.Background in Business Analysis or broader QA disciplines beyond UAT.Work Environment100% Remote.Collaborative Agile development environment.Opportunity to support enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives.Occasional high workload during release cycles.Cross-functional collaboration with business, product, development, QA, and project management teams.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.10+ years of experience in Software Testing, QA, or UAT.Proven experience leading testing initiatives for enterprise applications.Strong consulting, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Employment TermsWork Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.Work Location: Fully Remote.Work Hours: Standard business hours (Monday–Friday).Interview Process: Virtual Interview (MS Teams).Background Check: Required before onboarding.Equipment: Candidate must provide a reliable computer, internet connection, and phone for remote work.Onsite Requirement: Candidate should be available for onsite meetings if requested within a reasonable timeframe.
