We are seeking a hands‑on Senior Test Engineer to lead verification, validation (V&V), and troubleshooting of high‑performance digital multimedia products. This role is responsible for developing test strategies, executing system‑level testing, identifying root causes of hardware/firmware/software issues, improving test automation, and supporting product releases.
The ideal candidate has experience with embedded systems, high‑speed video interfaces, product validation, and test automation, and can work independently while mentoring junior engineers.
Required Qualifications
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of product verification, validation, or test engineering experience
- Experience testing embedded hardware and firmware‑based products
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Experience testing high‑speed video technologies including HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, SDI, SDVoE, streaming video, or similar
- Experience developing test plans, executing validation testing, and documenting results
- Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other electronic lab equipment
- Python scripting for test automation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Leadership or mentoring experience
- Medical device or other regulated industry experience (IEC 60601, FDA, EMC/EMI)
- Experience with FPGA/SoC‑based systems
Key Responsibilities
- Lead verification and validation testing for hardware, firmware, and software products
- Develop test plans, protocols, reports, and acceptance criteria
- Perform functional, regression, interoperability, reliability, environmental, and compliance testing
- Troubleshoot complex hardware, firmware, software, and system‑level issues
- Perform root cause analysis and support corrective actions
- Develop and improve automated test scripts, fixtures, and lab equipment
- Support customer issue investigations and product sustaining activities
- Create and maintain engineering documentation
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, manufacturing, and quality teams
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians
- Support continuous improvement of test methods, automation, and engineering processes
