Participants will work alongside experienced professionals, receive targeted training, and build a professional network to support post-service employment.Who Should ApplyWe welcome applicants from all branches and ranks who are:Within 90 to 180 days of separation from active dutyApproved by their chain of command to participate in SkillBridgeMotivated to learn, adapt, and contribute in a civilian work environmentInterested in Test Engineering on naval systemsProgram HighlightsHands-On Experience: Work on real-world projects that align with your career goalsMentorship: Receive guidance from industry professionals and veteran employeesCareer Development: Gain exposure to civilian workplace culture, tools, and processesNetworking: Build connections that can lead to post-service employment opportunitiesJob Summary:Provide support to NSWC Dahlgren H20 for AN/SQQ-89 testing at integrator location (Lockheed Martin/Manassas VA) for domestic and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) systems.Essential Responsibilities:Write and execute test cases that will exercise both the SQQ-89 system as well as its external interfaces including but not limited to AWS, VLS, TSP, and RadarDocument issues observed with SQQ-89 and its external interfaces with clear descriptions and steps to reproduce for later analysisReview system documentation and requirements and provide technical input to the Systems Engineering teamReview issues from the Fleet Support team and re-create the issue in the lab for further investigationWitness installing the SQQ-89 system ensuring the SVD is following and providing redlined changes as neededWork with the system Integrator's automated test team to design automated test scriptsTravel approximately 10% of the timeMinimum Requirements:A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline with seven (7) years of systems test experience with real-time weapons systems, combat systems, or fire control systems; or US Naval operational experience in a combat systems rate at the E6 level or higher with four (4) years of systems test experience with real-time weapons systems, combat systems, or fire control systems; orTen (10) years of systems test experience with real-time weapons systems, combat systems, or fire control systemsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in testing and test analysis of systems or software for surface ship weapons control and C2 systems.Performing test activities including developer/capability level testing, functional level testing (FQT/Verification and Validation), software/system integration testing, or AEGIS combat systems integration land-based testing.Using simulators in a test environmentDesired Qualifications:Experience with Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Confluence)Experience with ASW fire control system (e.g., AN/SQQ-89)Compensation Details:$80 to $100KThe compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
