Drive end-to-end project delivery across multiple systems, platforms, and technologies to achieve strategic outcomesSenior experience: Collaborate closely with internal teams, business stakeholders, external vendors, and implementation partners to ensure cohesive and effective executionCertification: PMP or CSM (MUST!!! – Proof required) (must show proof of current PMP certification, submit with resume)Bachelors Degree in Technical relevant fieldJob description: Seeking a seasoned senior technical project manager (PM) for UC Investments' IT Initiatives spanning multiple platforms and technologies.

The role serves as a representative across business and various IT teams, ensuring successful delivery of complex, cross functional projects. This PM supports UC Investments not only by leading formal IT projects but also by managing ongoing operational initiatives that enhance business processes, systems, and service delivery. In addition to applying project management rigor, the PM collaborates closely with UC Investments stakeholders to scope, prioritize, and execute operational enhancements that may not follow a traditional project lifecycle. The Project Manager serves as a trusted partner to the business, helping bridge gaps between IT and UC Investments to drive alignment with strategic priorities. This role is responsible for tracking progress, fostering continuous improvements, and coordinating efforts across internal IT, UCOP, UC investments, external vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders. The PM delivers sustainable, incremental enhancements in key areas such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and other enterprise-level technologies. This role requires a proven leader with at least 9 years of hands-on project management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead complex initiatives across diverse technical and business domains. The ideal candidate brings a track record of successfully managing high-performing teams, collaborating with external vendors, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders to drive results. Strong communication, organizational agility, and execution discipline are essential for navigating a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.Key Responsibilities:Drive end-to-end project delivery across multiple systems, platforms, and technologies to achieve strategic outcomes.Lead operational initiatives that enhance business processes, improve system performance, and elevate service delivery.Collaborate closely with internal teams, business stakeholders, external vendors, and implementation partners to ensure cohesive and effective execution.Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and risk registers to support disciplined execution.Facilitate executive-level reporting, communication, enabling timely decision-making, and alignment with leadership priorities.Navigate ambiguity with confidence, drive clarity, and focus in complex, fast-paced environments.Ensure timely, on-scope, and on-budget delivery of projects and operational initiatives, consistently aligned with business objectives.Education:Bachelor's degree in relevant field (IT, IS, Computer Science, Security, or related field)Experience: Required QualificationsMinimum 9 years of experience in project managementRequired Qualifications Skills and Abilities:Advanced knowledge of PM methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum)Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindsetAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentComfortable managing multiple priorities and working with a high degree of ambiguityHighly advanced skills associated with end-to-end PMLC for programs/projects of large-scale scopeDemonstrated project leadership, reporting and management skillsDemonstrated effective communication (written & verbal) and effective interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to present/communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organizationAble to deliver projects timely within budget and defined scopeDemonstrated complex problem-solving skills with a 'can do' attitudeProject Management Professional (PMP) certificationPrior experience in higher education, especially within University of California institutionsExperience managing cybersecurity projects and AI awarenessFamiliarity with UC policies, governance, and enterprise systems is a plusCertified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
