But detailed understanding should be built through self-analysis and study. These all apps are on a single DB with multiple schemas.Understand the business logic behind them and document them (SAA available, but will need more detailed analysis of the apps)Understand interfaces and integration in details and document itUnderstand data flows between the applications and payment systemsShould become SME in 1-2 months.Finally, should be able to suggest architectural changes to break the apps in different DBs and reduce complexity.
