Senior Technical DesignerAs a Technical Designer at Centric Brands, you'll be applying your extensive experience to enhance the Sports and Entertainment brand collections: Game Seven, Contenders, Palm Tree, and East Side Golf. Your role will involve overseeing and leading fit development from 1st proto to SMS stages, ensuring the garments meet both design and production standards. The challenges are exciting and the possibilities endless – as you contribute your skills in a vibrant, customer- and people-centric culture that celebrates you as a valuable member of the team.Specific responsibilities would include:Partner with design team to achieve aesthetic while adhering to a production time and action calendarCollaborate with the Sourcing, Product Development and other cross-functional partners to land on appropriate fit and functional intent for each product designWork to establish block digitized standards for continuous category silhouettes that can be shared with vendors to establish consistency and qualityManage all technical requirements to develop and execute processes from product development to production, offering insight on opportunities to improve pattern and yield utilizationCreate and maintain detailed tech packs including specs, tolerances, grading, detail sketches with construction/stitching and fit evaluation commentsConduct fit sessions on live models and mannequins to evaluate samples for fit, measurement, construction, pattern shaping and functionalityProvide technical direction, internally and externally, on corrective actions needed to bring samples to brand fit and stylingIssue grading guidelines to vendors after fit approvalMeasure and evaluate garments from proto sample through SMS samplesMaintain close partnership with production teams to maintain on-time delivery throughout the pre-production process and proactively monitor seasonal workloadScale and size art with design team to ensure placement and optimal art sizing based on product size rangeOur best fit candidate would have:Experience in Mens Lifestyle Design (Women's experience a plus)Knowledge of pattern making, highly detailed construction, industry fit knowledge and gradingComprehensive understanding of product engineering, development, and manufacturingAbility to lead fittings, take detailed and accurate notesHigh accuracy in math skills for correct spec revisionsProficiency in Flex PLM, Adobe products, Microsoft Office a plusSuperior organizational and written communication skills; team orientedAbility to work in a fast pace, high performance environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability for workload.Excellent time management skills and effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines.Graduate with degree in Fashion Technical Design / Patternmaking7+ years working in technical design in the Fashion IndustryIn return, we provide an industry-competitive salary, along with a comprehensive benefits plan (medical, dental, vision) that includes a matching 401 (k), Summer Fridays, generous PTO, merchandise discounts, excellent career development opportunities, and a work environment that reflects our industry leadership.
