Senior Technical Business Analyst – Data GovernanceContract Length: 12 months + potential extensionLocation: Dallas, Texas – Hybrid (3-4 days onsite downtown Dallas)**Applicants must already be local to the Dallas area**We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to support a variety of data-driven projects across the organization. The ideal candidate will work across departments, driving clarity, documentation, and alignment between business stakeholders and technical teams while working closely with other BAs and PMs, while playing a key role in Agile project execution.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field7+ years of IT project experience, including 4+ years as a Technical Business Analyst5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, with demonstrated success in data-centric and Agile project environments.Strong hands-on SQL skills (Oracle and SQL Server required; MongoDB a plus)Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) toolsExposure to cloud platforms and SaaS-based solutions is a plusProven success in data driven projects, especially those requiring collaboration between business and technical teamsExperience creating and maintaining:Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)Technical Design Documents (TDDs)Data Lineage DocumentationProcess flows using VisioProficiency with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA required)Must have exceptional communication skills and stakeholder engagement abilitiesHighly detail-oriented, with a proactive and collaborative mindsetKey Responsibilities:Collaborate with management and stakeholders to gather, validate, and document business and technical requirementsLead and facilitate requirements-gathering sessions; capture meeting minutes and action itemsTranslate business needs into detailed technical documentation to support Agile development effortsPartner with technical teams to develop and align Technical Design Documents with business goalsMaintain and support Data Lineage documentation to ensure governance and complianceRun and analyze SQL queries to validate data and support troubleshootingCoordinate release activities, draft structured release communications, and ensure readinessTrack progress and manage tasks in JIRA, proactively addressing issues and ensuring timely updatesCollaborate with other BAs and maintain strong working relationships with PMs and cross-functional teamsContribute to multiple ongoing initiatives, adjusting focus as business priorities evolveThis role is perfect for a strategic, detail-oriented analyst with a strong technical foundation and a collaborative mindset.
