Senior Business Analyst InternetWe are seeking a full-time Senior Business Analyst Internet at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, documenting, and effectively communicating user requirements for large to very large size projects of high complexity for products across multiple strategic channels, with multiple disparate stakeholders.Essential Functions:Serve as functional Product Owner, working with enterprise stakeholders to drive application/technology solutions and related business processesWork closely with cross-functional project teams and multiple stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and deliverables are aligned with long-term, enterprise objectives as well as project objectivesPartner with enterprise stakeholders to determine strategic channels roadmapUnderstand and communicate business impact of issues and how they relate to IT owned solutionsManage development and documentation of requirements from multiple global Garmin Product Managers using use cases, scenarios, complex and perhaps conflicting business workflow analysesIdentify interdependencies between projects and overall business strategies and facilitate aligning them to benefit GarminCollaborate directly with co-located and remote development team members, business clients and QA teams to define test cases and assist with testing effortsManage acceptance testing by end users to ensure appropriate standards are met and successful deployment validation is completedProactively identify and contribute to the resolution of ancillary discrepancies and conflicts between interdepartmental applications and strategic channels on an enterprise levelManage reconciliation and drive consensus regarding business tactical and strategic directionActively implement continuous improvement on an enterprise level for business processes and IT business analysis processesSeen as the go-to subject matter expert for application/technology solution and related business processes within the enterpriseMake substantial contributions to determining feasibility of team or functional goals/objectivesUnderstand business impacts of issues and how they relate to IT owned solutionsProvide reliable solutions to a wide range of difficult problems including evaluation of new technologies to improve existing functionsServe as a mentor to less experienced Business Analysts (Business Analyst 1 & 2)Work with language services and country business units to ensure translations are correctBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or related field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experienceExperience developing long-term product roadmaps that align with team and company visionAbility to balance short-term sprint goals with longer-term strategic goalsDemonstrated mastery of business analysis principles and methodologies and ability to apply and adapt them into requirements which meet business needsSuperior analytical skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirementsUnderstand the importance of change and consistently viewing change as opportunityDemonstrates proficiency and in-depth understanding of internet technologiesExtensive experience in working within Agile project methodologyDemonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a cross-functional setting with business partnersParticipates in continuing business analysis education coursesDemonstrated ability to work independently with a high degree of competencyDesired Qualifications:Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), Digital Asset Management systems (DAM), Digital Experience Platforms (DXP), etc., and how to optimize and streamline their usageCertifications: PMI-PBA, CBAP, scrummasterContinuing education courses in business analysis Agile/Scrum methodology experience and/or trainingKnowledge and experience with bug tracking tools and project management toolsKnowledge of conceptual web application architecture and human factors in UX designExperience with multivariant testingInternational communications experienceGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
