Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert within the tax practice and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by identifying tax planning opportunities, addressing complex tax issues, and recommending strategic solutions.
  • Manage all aspects of client engagements, including planning, execution, review, and delivery.
  • Review tax returns, workpapers, and other engagement deliverables to ensure quality and compliance standards are met.
  • Develop and manage engagement budgets, billing, realization, and overall client profitability.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while supporting proposal development and client presentations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
  • Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate staff to support professional development and team success.
  • Foster a collaborative culture and contribute to the growth and success of the practice.

Desired Experience

The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with:

  • Partnerships (Form 1065)
  • S Corporations (Form 1120-S)
  • Limited Liability Companies (LLCs)
  • Privately held and closely held businesses
  • Multi-state pass-through taxation
  • K-1 reporting
  • Tax planning and compliance for business owners

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Active CPA license (or equivalent certification)
  • Minimum of 8 years of public accounting and/or related tax experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with relevant tax and accounting technologies

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field
  • Compensation: $150,000–$185,000 base salary + up to 15% annual bonus
