We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage a diverse client portfolio, oversee tax compliance and planning services, review complex business and individual tax returns, and provide strategic tax guidance to clients. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical tax expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state business and individual tax returns.
- Provide tax planning, projections, and strategic tax advice to clients.
- Research complex tax issues and recommend solutions.
- Manage a book of business and maintain strong client relationships.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff.
- Stay current on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Communicate effectively with clients and respond promptly to inquiries.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and client service.
- Collaborate with firm leadership and other stakeholders to support business growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA, EA, or JD required.
- Minimum of 8 busy seasons of public accounting tax experience.
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns.
- Previous experience managing client relationships and supervising staff.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience with Thomson Reuters tax software preferred.
