Tax Senior ManagerAn established public accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join its San Francisco office. This leadership role offers the opportunity to serve as a trusted advisor to a diverse client base while overseeing complex engagements and mentoring a growing team of tax professionals.The Senior Manager will play a strategic role within the practice, partnering closely with firm leadership on client service, team development, and business growth initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as lead advisor on complex tax engagements across a variety of client industriesProvide advanced technical review of tax returns, financial statements, and related workpapersIdentify tax planning opportunities, risk areas, and strategic solutions for clientsAct as primary relationship manager for key clients, addressing technical and business matters proactivelyOversee engagement planning, budgeting, billing, and realization metricsManage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring quality and timely deliverySupervise, mentor, and develop Managers, Seniors, and StaffParticipate in performance evaluations and team development initiativesContribute to internal process improvements and quality control standardsSupport practice growth through client development efforts, proposal participation, and cross-service collaborationStay current on regulatory and technical developments impacting client engagementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field requiredApproximately 8+ years of public accounting experienceActive CPA license requiredMinimum 5 years of supervisory experienceDemonstrated ability to manage complex client engagements independentlyExperience reviewing advanced tax returns and leading final engagement reviewsStrong business development and client relationship management skillsAbility to manage engagement economics including budgeting and realizationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with modern tax and engagement management softwareAbility to travel occasionally based on client needsCompensation & BenefitsBase salary range: $150K-$200KThis compensation range is a good faith estimate of the expected wage range you can expect to be paid upon hirePerformance-based bonus opportunityComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with employer contributionPaid time off and professional development supportContinuing education and certification assistancePursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
