This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Tax Manager. The Senior Tax Manager will oversee the tax planning, compliance, and preparation processes. Responsibilities include interpreting and applying tax law, managing tax-related risk, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role also involves advising on tax strategies to optimize corporate financial performance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Review and approve complex tax returns and government tax exams
• Act as subject matter expert in tax discipline or industry
• Manage tax return delegation and ensure accurate, timely delivery
• Oversee and represent clients in governmental tax audits
• Mentor and evaluate junior tax staff; lead development programs
• Monitor workflow and billing processes for accuracy and compliance
• Conduct tax software evaluations and suggest improvements
• Support firm growth through networking and industry involvement

Job Requirements:

• CPA, JD, or LLM required
• Bachelor's in Accounting required; Master’s in Taxation is preferred
• 7–10 years in public accounting with increasing complexity
• 2+ years representing clients before tax authorities
• 1+ year supervising tax staff
• Deep knowledge of current tax laws
• Experience with tax prep, research, and planning software
• Willingness to work 55+ hours/week during tax season is preferred
• 40 hours of annual CPE required
• Have less than 5 years of experience in public accounting.
• Lack of supervisory experience in tax preparation.
• Do not hold a CPA, JD, or LLM.
• Have a history of frequent short tenures (job hopping).
