Salary $140,000–$155,000, depending on experience

Sign-on bonus $5,000

Schedule Hybrid with three days in the office and two days remote after initial training

An established public accounting firm is hiring a Senior Tax Manager to lead complex domestic and international tax engagements. You’ll work directly with partners, serve as the primary contact for clients, and mentor tax professionals across the practice. This role offers a mix of technical review, client advisory, and team leadership, with opportunities for continued advancement.

What you’ll do

• Lead federal, state, local, and international tax engagements for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals.
• Review complex returns and supporting workpapers for accuracy, compliance, and tax planning opportunities.
• Research domestic and international tax issues and advise clients on foreign reporting requirements.
• Manage engagement budgets, deadlines, and client expectations across multiple accounts.
• Build long-term client relationships through proactive tax planning and advice.
• Coach staff, seniors, and managers and provide technical guidance on complex engagements.
• Partner with firm leadership to expand client relationships and grow the tax practice.

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.
• Significant experience reviewing complex business and individual tax returns.
• Hands-on foreign and international tax experience, including international reporting requirements.
• Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local taxation.
• Experience leading engagements, advising clients directly, and mentoring tax professionals.
• Strong tax research skills and the ability to explain complex issues clearly to clients and colleagues.
• CPA, EA, or JD required.
