Senior Tax Manager

Job Title: Senior Manager Level Tax Role

Office arrangement: REMOTE | Hybrid (3-days in-office) if within 50 miles of Pittsburgh

Compensation: $180k-$192k Total Comp

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Taxation or Business preferred
• 7+ years of tax experience
• Statutory accounting and insurance tax experience preferred
• Strong ASC 740 tax accounting and provision experience
• Corporate tax and/or public accounting experience with a strong technical tax background
• Experience reviewing tax provisions, returns, technical documentation, and the work of other tax professionals
• CPA preferred

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Review tax provisions, returns, supporting documentation, and other tax deliverables for accuracy and compliance
• Lead quality assurance reviews related to significant transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
• Identify and evaluate tax risks associated with transactions and special projects
• Research technical tax matters and advise on the tax implications of proposed transactions and business activities
• Prepare and review ASC 740 memoranda and audit-ready tax documentation
• Support tax planning initiatives, audits, notices, and the defense of tax positions
• Help maintain strong tax procedures, documentation, and internal controls
• Provide technical guidance and training to other members of the tax team
