Senior Tax Manager – Path to Director and Partner

North Haven, CT | Hybrid 3 days in office | $130K–$175K

Broad tax work | Direct access to Partners | Comp time for additional hours

An established Connecticut CPA firm is looking for a Senior Tax Manager to play a key role in its next generation of leadership.

You’ll work directly with the Partners, take ownership of client relationships and lead complex tax engagements across individuals, businesses and trusts. There is a clear path to Director and, ultimately, Partner for someone who wants to grow with the firm.

The opportunity

• Review complex individual, corporate, partnership and fiduciary returns
• Advise clients on tax planning and federal, state and local tax matters
• Manage key client relationships and work closely with the Partners
• Lead engagements, deadlines and workflow
• Coach and develop tax staff
• Improve processes and client service

What they’re looking for

• Active CPA licence
• 8+ years of recent public accounting tax experience
• Strong tax review and staff management experience
• Confidence advising clients and managing multiple engagements
• Experience with CCH Axcess Tax preferred

Working pattern and benefits

Outside tax season, the firm offers two remote days per week , three days in the office or at client sites, and half-day Fridays in June and July .

The minimum tax-season workweek is 51 hours . Senior Tax Managers should expect additional hours when client needs and deadlines require them; hours above the required minimum qualify for comp time , which can be taken as paid time off or paid out as additional compensation.

Base salary: $130K–$175K, depending on experience.
