Senior Tax Analyst

Senior Tax AnalystOversee administration of tax filings and notice resolution with government tax agencies. Work across Tax Filing Shared Services to mitigate escalations. Respond to Client and Client Team inquiries.As Tax Filing Senior Analyst duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Educate clients and provide subject matter expertise for payroll tax filing and notice resolutionSupport and provide timely research on compliance and regulatory issues.Recognize need for process improvement and communicate to management; Support any process improvements/changesMeet periodically with Operation Services Manager and report metrics and any delivery issuesSupport implementation of new clientsSupport and oversee delivery operations, including Tax Filing suppliers.Compile, report and analyze metricsAbility to problem solve and using tax knowledge and experienceResponsible for calculation P&I and abatement letter requestResearch and resolve payroll tax notices in a timely manner, including abatement requests, calculation of Penalty and Interest, and identification of root cause and prevention measuresMentor and support colleaguesManage Tax Filing suppliers, as appropriate, to support accurate and timely delivery.Approve checklists – work checklist queueCoordinate testing for updated interfacesVariance analysis control point when issue needs escalation or analysisCommunicates effectively with the client and internal partners regarding ongoing operations and problem solving with analysis/resolution of tax related issuesAbility to work under tight deadlinesUnderstanding and applying knowledge of payroll tax to notice resolution and process improvementsEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma and 3 years' experience in tax filingDemonstrated strong verbal & written communication skills required2 Years of Payroll Tax Filing experience2 Years client interaction and managementProficient in Excel, i.e.

pivot tables, vlook-ups, macro development, etc2 years' experience with tax filing software requiredMaster Tax experience highly preferredClient Smart Compliance experience desired
