The ideal candidate has a solid background in preparing and reviewing federal and multi-state tax returns for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals. You’ll step into a collaborative, client-focused environment where your expertise truly makes an impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review federal and state tax returns for small to mid-sized businesses (Forms 1065 and 1120S), including multi-state entities
• Import, convert, and analyze client trial balances, including identifying timing differences and Schedule M adjustments
• Prepare and/or review complex individual returns (Form 1040) for high-net-worth clients, including multiple K-1s, composite filings, and multi-state withholding
• Conduct research on federal, state, and local income and sales tax issues
• Assist with FBAR filings and related foreign financial disclosures
• Partner with senior tax leadership to ensure accuracy and completeness of all deliverables
• Communicate directly with clients to gather financial information, address questions, and provide updates
• Stay current with tax law changes and emerging best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA license or CPA track strongly preferred
• 2–5 years of tax experience within a public accounting environment
• Proficient with Forms 1065, 1120S, and 1040
• Experience with multi-state filings and composite returns
• Skilled with tax software (CCH Axcess, ProSystem FX, or similar), Excel, and general accounting systems
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced setting
