These are onsite roles and can be located in Woburn, Tewksbury, Marlborough, Andover or Portsmouth RI.What You Will Do:Develop and implement MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs and perform associated tasks, analyses, and planningConduct hazard and design analyses to ensure compliance with system requirements, customer specifications, and military standardsCollaborate with customer safety representatives to clarify system requirements and ensure proper allocation to software, hardware, and test personnelCoordinate with customer safety representatives and Safety Review Board authorities to gain safety approvalManage System Safety Working Groups with Raytheon and customer representativesWork across integrated product teams and engineering disciplines, including Systems Engineering, Software/Firmware, Electrical, and Hardware Engineering, to eliminate hazards or implement effective controlsCollaborate across multiple disciplines to gain a comprehensive understanding of product architecture and designSupport safety efforts from program startup through production, demilitarization, and disposal phasesBrief safety considerations and program status during technical reviews and approval processesPrepare internal and customer-facing reports detailing system safety analyses and program statusQualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experienceExperience with System Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent Safety EngineeringExperience writing technical reports and presentationsWhat We Offer:Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
