Peraton is seeking a self-starting cleared Senior Systems Engineer in our Herndon, VA location.The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the following but not limited to:Develop requirements documentationSupport analysis and allocation of requirements to lower level systemsCoordinate with external customersSupport design and requirements reviewsDevelop, maintain and exercise system performance modelsIdentifying critical analysis required, organizing and performing analysis tasks, organizing and performing system- and design-level trades, developing and evaluating algorithms, defining system architecture to implement algorithmRequirements verification planning and executionSupport business development, development of system engineering and analysis program plans.Develop concepts of operation, technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses, functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studiesEnsure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraintsPlan, execute, and close projects that meet or exceed customer objectivesCreate clear and attainable project objectives, build project requirements, and manage constraints of cost, time, scope, and qualityDevelop the overall project plan and manage project operationsManage the project stakeholders, project team, project risk, project schedule, project budget, and project conflictsEnsure team members know and execute their respective roles and the roles of the other team membersEnsure production schedules are met and system resources are used effectivelyCoordinate resolution of production-related problemsEnsures proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners, and vendors to facilitate the delivery of systems and servicesProvide and coordinate EVMS reportingManage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables.Supervise, manage, support and evaluate personnelEstimate staffing needs, assign work, recommend candidates for employment, makes recommendations for termination, conduct performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff and is responsible for the application of company policies.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management or related disciplines plus 5 years of experienceMust have a minimum of a TS/SCI clearance and willing to sit for and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
